Maintenance Mechanic

The primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Comply with all safe work practices, use proper PPE, fall protection equipment, etc.
• Complete preventative maintenance work and provide feedback on any issues
• Complete all required documentation
• Repair and install equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot hardware and processing issues
• Manage input to work orders and notifications in SAP
• Complete labor hour confirmations in SAP
• Assist in managing the MRO parts warehouse.

Education, Qualifications, & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-year vocational school technical training strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing maintenance required

Competencies and Skills Required

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good math and reading comprehension skills
• Good computer skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience in SAP or use of other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
• Experience in use of modern tools such as laser alignment, vibration data collection, etc.
• Experience in different types of pump troubleshooting/repair
• Experience in blower troubleshooting/repair
• Experience in different types of mixer troubleshooting/repair
• Experience in gearbox troubleshooting/repair
• Experience in different types of actuated valve operation and repair
• Experience in operation of man lifts, and other ground equipment as needed
