Factory Manager

Next Step HR is hiring a Factory Supervisor for a manufacturing setup. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day factory operations, managing production activities and maintaining quality standards. Location: Ahmedabad India (On-site, Full-time) Experience: 2–5 years in factory/production supervision KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and coordinate daily production activities Allocate work to operators and production staff according to priorities Monitor production targets, work progress and deadlines Ensure proper utilisation of manpower, machines and materials Check the quality of finished and semi-finished products Identify production issues and take corrective action Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase and Dispatch teams Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns or maintenance requirements Ensure minimum material wastage and control rework Maintain daily production reports and attendance records Ensure workers follow company rules, safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping across the factory Train and guide operators and new production employees Handle production-related problems and escalate major issues to management Ensure materials are available as per production requirements Monitor work quality and productivity of team members Ensure urgent and priority jobs are completed on time Support management in improving production efficiency and reducing costs REQUIREMENTS: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Production or a related field preferred 3–5 years of experience in factory or production supervision Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes Strong manpower handling and team management skills Ability to understand production drawings and measurements Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and production reporting Good communication and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines Strong focus on quality, productivity and operational efficiency BENEFITS: Opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day factory operations Work closely with production, design, purchase and dispatch teams Exposure to end-to-end manufacturing and production processes Opportunity to contribute towards improving efficiency and reducing costs Growth opportunity within a developing manufacturing setup
