Our client seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger, payroll, and benefit-related accounting. You will lead a team of 5 accountants and partner closely with payroll, benefits, compliance, and development.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and post complex journal entries, including multi-currency and international intercompany transactionsReview balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variancesLead reconciliation of payroll tax, self-funded health plan, 401(k), SERP, garnishment, and other benefit liability accountsInvestigate payroll bank account variances and ensure entries are accurate and timelySupport the shared services intercompany billing process and corporate overhead variance analysis against budgetSupervise month-end and year-end close in Workday FinancialsSupport accounting setup for new acquisition and development projectsServe as a point of contact for internal and external auditorsMaintain procedures and checklists in line with GAAP, FASB, and internal controlsManage, mentor, and develop a team of accountantsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience and international exposureSolid understanding of the full payroll cycleHands-on experience with multi-currency journal entries, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliationsWorkday Financials experience strongly preferredAdvanced Excel skills and working knowledge of major accounting systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently against deadlines
