Position Overview
An established and expanding investment organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial reporting for a group of manufacturing and distribution businesses. This hands-on role will work directly with executive leadership across multiple entities, providing financial visibility, strengthening accounting processes, and supporting business performance.
The position offers broad exposure to operational finance, working capital management, and acquisition-related activities within a growing portfolio of businesses. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with a practical, business-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
Key Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing or distributionBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineDemonstrated ability to independently manage month-end close activities and financial reportingStrong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and margin analysisBackground supporting acquisitions, business integrations, or separation activitiesAdvanced Excel capabilities and experience working with ERP platformsAbility to travel approximately 10–25% between business locationsCPA or CMA certification preferredExperience working within a private equity-owned, family office-backed, or multi-entity organization is beneficial
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee monthly accounting close cycles for multiple business entities, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and reporting deadlinesReview financial statements and operating results, identifying variances, trends, and opportunities for improvementMonitor cash flow and working capital while overseeing key accounting areas, including receivables, payables, and inventoryAssist with financial reviews of potential acquisitions and coordinate accounting activities following completed transactionsStrengthen accounting procedures and internal controls while maintaining reliable financial xzbcwsv data across ERP systemsPartner with business presidents and senior executives to provide financial analysis that supports operational and strategic planningMonitor debt covenant requirements, liquidity, and working capital performanceIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes, accounting efficiency, and financial oversight across the portfolio
