GENERAL & SUBSPECIALTY GASTROENTEROLOGY OPPORTUNITY - WISCONSIN

PRACTICE OVERVIEW

A nationally recognized, physician-led health system is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join its established and growing practice in Wisconsin. The group is flexible and open to both experienced physicians and fellows coming directly out of training. General Gastroenterology will be a component of the practice based on community needs, with the ability to incorporate subspecialty interests.

The position offers a clinically focused practice with a strong emphasis on quality of life and work-life balance, while providing access to the resources and collaboration of a large, integrated health system.

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS

* Currently 1 Gastroenterologist and 5 APPs

* Mix of inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology

* Subspecialty interests welcomed, including advanced endoscopy, motility, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreatic disease

* Approximately 5-6 patients during a half-day clinic and 12 patients during a typical full clinic day

* Approximately 40-50 procedures per week during a typical procedural week

* During consult weeks, approximately 20-30 patients are seen with 12-20 procedures during the call week

* Call is structured in one-week rotations

* Current call is approximately 1:4, with a goal of reaching 1:6 as the program grows

* Weekends are generally off unless the physician is on their call week

* Well-established hospitalist program

* Strong surgical, oncology, radiology, and multidisciplinary support

* Clinic, endoscopy suite, and hospital located in one location

* J-1 candidates welcome; visa assistance available

HOSPITAL & REGIONAL PRACTICE

* New 96-bed hospital opened in 2024

* More than 380,000 outpatient visits annually across the regional practice

* Approximately 4,400 hospital admissions annually

* Serves a multi-state regional patient population

* Strong integration and collaboration with Gastroenterologists throughout the broader health system

* Research grants and opportunities to mentor fellows are available for physicians with interest
