Role Description This is a freelance, remote role for a Career Counsellor. The Career Counsellor will guide students and early-career professionals in understanding career options, assessing interests and strengths, and planning education and career pathways. Daily tasks include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions (online), administering and interpreting career assessments, and developing individualized career development plans. The role also involves providing information on industries, job roles, and skill requirements, as well as offering support with resumes, interview preparation, and job search strategies. The Career Counsellor will collaborate with internal teams to align counseling services with training programs, employer needs, and institutional partnerships.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Career Counseling, Student Counseling, and guiding individuals through academic and career choices.
Experience in Career Development and Career Management, including creating personalized career roadmaps and supporting long-term growth.
Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust in remote sessions.
Background in education, psychology, human resources, or a related field; certification in career counseling or guidance is an advantage.
Familiarity with online counseling tools, career assessment instruments, and current job market trends across multiple industries.
Strong organizational skills, reliability in managing freelance engagements, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Prior experience working with students, fresh graduates, or early-career professionals is highly desirable.
