We are currently seeking experienced CDL A Regional Drivers for our client in Merrillville, IN. This position offers $35 per hour , with overtime paid after 40 hours, and an average annual earning potential of approximately $103,000 .

About the Position

The CDL A Driver will perform multi-stop regional deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to dealerships. Drivers will deliver auto parts and unload the trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.

Drivers will use a scanner to scan products as they unload and deliver. Routes may include 2-3 layovers per week and will typically require 40-50+ hours per week.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $35 per hour

• Overtime: After 40 hours

• Average Annual Pay: Approximately $103,000

• Schedule: Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday, depending on route

• Start Times: Between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM

• Average Hours: 40-50+ hours per week

• Layovers: Approximately 2-3 per week

Job Details

• Location: Merrillville, IN domicile.

• Stops: Approximately 5-21 stops per route

• Drop & Hooks: Up to 5 per route

• Transfers: Up to 10 per week

• Equipment: Sleeper tractor with 53-foot trailer and liftgate

• Freight: Automotive parts and supplies

• Delivery Locations: Automotive dealerships

• Freight Handling: Driver unloads using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sleeper tractor-trailer on regional routes

• Perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships

• Deliver auto parts and supplies

• Unload freight using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages

• Scan products using a handheld scanner during deliveries

• Complete drop-and-hook operations as required

• Perform transfers as needed

• Complete 2-3 layovers per week

• Maintain compliance with all DOT and FMCSA safety requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A

• At least 1 year of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A driving experience

• Regional driving experience preferred

• Valid DOT Medical Card

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

• Ability to safely handle and unload palletized automotive parts
