University of Oregon Seeks a Medical Director of University Health Services

Lead an integrated, multidisciplinary student health program

Strengthen access, collaboration, and operational excellence

Shape the future of student health at a leading public university

Step into an exceptional leadership opportunity at the University of Oregon, where healthcare, student well-being, and campus engagement come together. University Health Services seeks a collaborative physician executive to serve as Medical Director and provide strategic and clinical leadership for a comprehensive student health program.

The Medical Director will lead a multidisciplinary medical services team that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, specialty physicians, an athletic trainer, and other clinical professionals. As a member of the University Health Services executive team, the Medical Director will collaborate with leaders across mental health, health promotion and wellness, allied health, and administration.

University Health Services offers an integrated environment that includes medical care, counseling, psychiatry, dental care, pharmacy, laboratory services, x-ray, and embedded behavioral health support. The incoming leader will help strengthen coordination across these areas and connect students more easily with the care and resources they need.

The position is primarily focused on administrative and organizational leadership, while maintaining a limited clinical presence that enables the Medical Director to stay connected to students and frontline colleagues.

The successful candidate will be an approachable, visible, and relationship-oriented leader who listens carefully, communicates transparently, and builds trust across disciplines. The university seeks a physician executive who can advance access, support operational sustainability, guide change, and foster a culture where employees feel heard and valued.
