THE PERSON Who we want?

The technical owner of the automation programme — someone who has designed frame works from a blank repo, set the standards squads code against, and stayed hands-on while leading. Fluent across web (Playwright/TypeScript) and native mobile (Appium), fluent in CI/CD , and fluent in applying AI to generate, self-heal, and triage tests at scale. Sets the architecture, guards the quality gates, and lifts everyone around them. TARGET POOL Where do we look? Engineering-led product and services organisations with mature SDET and platform-QA functions — Thought Works, EPAM, GlobalLogic, Publicis Sapient, Browser Stack, Postman, Razor pay, Flipkart, Microsoft, Amazon — where someone has owned test architecture across multiple squads or platforms

BACKGROUND

Where do you come from? 10+ years in QA / test automation, several as a lead or architect. You've designed multi-platform frame works (web + native mobile) from scratch, defined page-object and shared-layer patterns, owned CI/CD (Jenkins) and reporting /traceability (Allure, Jira + Xray/Zephyr), and set coding standards and review gates. You've introduced self-healing and AI-assisted workflows — and you still write code daily.

CHARACTER

What kind of person? Obsessed with reliability and clean, maintainable code. Curious, self-driven, and quick to adopt AI-assisted ways of working. Reads a failure and wants to know why. Takes owner ship of the suites they build and cares that the reports tell a clear story.
