Nurse RN Radiation Oncology FT 8am-4:30pm

Overview

Distinguishes the cancer services line by providing support for the patient experience, as well as improving access and overall customer satisfaction. Acts as a liason between the physician, the patient, and other hospital staff. Assists physicians in the outpatient clinic and process requests by physicians and patients.
Qualifications

Age of Patients Served:Adult (18-64 years)Geriatric (=>65 years)Required Education:Associate's Degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.Preferred Education:BSN.Necessary Skills:1. Nursing assessment skills.2. Strong patient and physician communication skills.3. Familiar with patient care equipment.4. Knowledge of JCAHO and OSHA standards pertinent to Radiation Oncology nursing.Required Licensure/Certifications:Licensed to practice nursing in the state of FloridaBLS from the American Heart AssociationPreferred Licensure/Certifications:- Professional Certification Preferred.Required Experience:Less than one year related experience.Preferred Experience:1-2 years of Oncology experience.
