Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Entry Level. Active Nursing License in the state of employment required. Position Purpose :Provide Occupational Health Care Services according to the Gulfstream Medical Program. Coordinate medical services required. for the safety and proper placement of employees, the treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, and approved industrial preventative medical programs under direction of Corporate Occupational Health Nurse Leadership. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and management to support organizational health and safety objectives .
- Promote and facilitate continuity of care through consistent and coordinated medical services .
- Maintain medical records in professional and confidential manner .
- Provide superior nursing care in a professional manner using all available resources .
- Provides timely treatment of work-related injuries .
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of workers compensation per state of employment .
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of all regulatory bodies pertaining to state of employment to include but not limited to DOT, FAA, OSHA/CalOSHA .
- Understanding of regulatory testing programs to include but not limited to hearing, vision, respiratory, alcohol and drug .
- Administer regulatory testing proficiently .
- Maintain appropriate inventories of medical and first aid supplies .
- Administer the collection and processing of drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Corporate and FAA alcohol and drug program .
- Maintain all medical equipment .
- Remain current with health and medical initiatives .
- BLS Certification, DOT Collector and BAT Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
