We are supporting a major global organization with the delivery of a large-scale data-center retrofit programme across North America.
An immediate requirement has arisen for an experienced Project Supervisor to support projects within a live operational data-center environment in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC region.
This is a site-focused position responsible for coordinating contractors, managing day-to-day project activity and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
ResponsibilitiesTake day-to-day responsibility for project activity on siteCoordinate subcontractors, site teams and client stakeholdersManage project schedules, deadlines and key deliverablesMonitor scope, quality, safety, programme and project risksLead regular site/project coordination meetingsEnsure contractors are safely and effectively delivering against programme requirementsCoordinate access, materials and site activities within a live critical environmentReview work against project documentation and drawingsSupport procurement and subcontractor coordination where requiredManage reporting, project updates and client communicationSupport safe project handover and close-outTravel to other data-center locations may be required as the programme develops
Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone with:5+ years of supervisory experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, M&E, FM or construction environments JD - Project SupervisorStrong understanding of electrical, mechanical and network systems JD - Project SupervisorExperience managing contractors and coordinating work in live operational environmentsStrong construction/project delivery knowledgeExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentStrong organization, attention to detail and problem-solving abilityTechnical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline preferredProject Management certification desirable
Preferred BackgroundPrevious experience within data centers or hyperscale environments is strongly preferred.Candidates from other complex mission-critical environments may also be considered, including:Pharmaceutical / R&DHospitals / healthcareIndustrial facilitiesCritical infrastructureOil & gas
This role would particularly suit someone with an electrical / M&E bias who is comfortable overseeing contractors while working closely with client and operational teams.
