Director of Engineering - Container Orchestration Security

About the Role

SecPod is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the design, development, and evolution of our cloud-native security capabilities within the Saner Platform. You will define how enterprises continuously discover, assess, prioritize, remediate, and verify security risks across Kubernetes, containers, and modern cloud-native environments.

This is a highly technical, hands-on product leadership role. You will work closely with Engineering to define product requirements, make technical decisions, prioritize features, validate implementations, and deliver innovative capabilities that help enterprises secure Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native workloads.

Responsibilities

· Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Container Orchestration Security.

· Work closely with Engineering team to design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade product capabilities.

· Translate customer problems and market requirements into detailed product specifications and technical requirements.

· Drive product development across Kubernetes security, container security, runtime protection, workload security, and cloud-native security.

· Review product designs, architectures, and implementations to ensure technical excellence and customer value.

· Engage with customers, partners, and industry experts to validate product direction and gather feedback.

· Stay current with emerging technologies, open-source projects, security research, and industry frameworks to shape the product roadmap.

Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud-native technologies, or enterprise software development.

· Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms.

· Strong technical understanding of container orchestration, cloud-native architectures, and modern application platforms.

· Experience building enterprise software products in collaboration with engineering teams.

· Ability to bridge customer needs, product strategy, and technical implementation.

Preferred Knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Kubernetes and container security
• Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Runtime security and workload protection
• Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD security
• MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and CNCF security best practices
