About the Role

Arindam Dream Designs LLP is part of Arindam Dream Designs® Group — a Kolkata-based premium weddings, events, hospitality and lifestyle organisation. We also have our offices in Jaipur, Puri, Thailand and Australia. Alongside it, the group operates Addvita Infra Constru in infrastructure and construction amongst two other sister concerns.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead our group accounts function: someone who can own the books end-to-end, run event-wise and project-wise financial control across multiple branches, and supervise a Junior Accountant.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a growing group. You will be singly accountable for the accuracy of our event numbers and will work directly with Management on budgeting, profitability and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Supervise and manage the overall accounting operations of the company
• Maintain sale bills in Tally
• Handle branch-wise accounting for multiple branches in Tally Prime
• Monitor event-wise, project-wise, venue-wise and location-wise accounting
• Review and approve accounting entries passed by the Junior Accountant
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and inventory records
• Maintain proper accounting documents and statutory records
• Finalise month-end and year-end closing of accounts

Costing, Budgeting & Profitability

• Prepare and review event-wise Cost Sheets
• Prepare Internal Budgets, Proposed Budgets and Actual Budgets for every event/project
• Monitor budget utilisation and analyse budget variances
• Prepare project-wise, event-wise, venue-wise and location-wise profitability reports
• Monitor individual accounts and financial performance

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely compliance of GST, TDS, Professional Tax, Income Tax and other statutory requirements
• Prepare GST workings and TDS workings
• Prepare and file GST Returns, TDS Returns, Professional Tax Returns and Income Tax working papers
• Coordinate with Chartered Accountant, bankers, auditors and statutory authorities

Reporting, Banking & Payroll

• Prepare monthly MIS Reports, Financial Statements and Management Reports using Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Monitor cash flow, fund management and banking transactions
• Prepare documents relating to Audit, Bank Loans, Overdraft (OD), Cash Credit (CC), Loan Against Property (LAP), Bank Guarantee (BG) and other banking facilities
• Review payroll, salary processing and employee reimbursements before final approval

Leadership & Support

• Guide, supervise and review the work performed by Junior Accountant(s)
• Support Management in financial planning, budgeting and strategic decision-making
• Perform any other finance and accounts-related responsibilities assigned by the Management

What We're Looking For

• B.Com / M.Com; CA Inter or CMA Inter is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with supervisory exposure
• Strong working command of Tally Prime, including multi-branch accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards, MIS formats)
• Practical, independent experience of GST, TDS, PT and Income Tax return preparation and filing
• Experience in event-wise, project-wise or cost-centre accounting strongly preferred
• Prior exposure to events, weddings, hospitality, media or a multi-location service business is a plus
• High accuracy, ownership and comfort working to tight event timelines

Compensation

Salary as per industry standards, commensurate with experience.
