Job Description Lead the preconstruction process from concept through final budget approval. Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and valueengineering options. Collaborate closely with project executives, estimators, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and alignment on project scope. Prepare and manage preconstruction schedules, logistics plans, and risk assessments. Facilitate bid processes and subcontractor outreach; ensure competitive pricing and qualified coverage. Participate in design reviews to ensure constructability and alignment with budget/owner expectations. Present budgets, analyses, and recommendations to internal teams and clients. Maintain awareness of market conditions, material costs, and subcontractor performance in the South Florida region. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in preconstruction roles within commercial construction. Strong knowledge of local Fort Lauderdale market costs, subcontractors, and permitting requirements. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, ProEst, Assemble, or similar). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects simultaneously. Proven ability to work collaboratively with owners, design partners, and internal teams.
