Civil Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

1.Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and maintain duty roster.

2.Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

3.Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work

4.Assist in Recruiting and training maintenance technicians

5.Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (Mason, electricians, plumbers etc.)

6.Inspect and maintain building systems (Civil Work, heating, ventilation etc.)

7.Assist to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.

8.Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations).

9.Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

10.Responds to maintenance requests.

11.Makes sure projects stay on schedule.

12.Leads safety inspections at worksites.

13.Performs maintenance work as needed.

14.Evaluates worksites to determine necessary maintenance work.

15.Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.

16.Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

17.Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.

18.Performs other related duties as assigned by Higher Management.

Work Experience:

Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in construction, repair & maintenance or facility management.

Educational Qualification:

BS / BE Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. PEC registration preferred.
