Associate Attorney and Senior Associate

Our established Chicago defense firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney and Senior Associate with 4–7 years of civil litigation and trial experience to join our downtown Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to take an active role in cases from start to finish. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys on a diverse range of civil litigation matters while having the opportunity to develop and expand their litigation and trial skills. What You'll DoPrepare for and conduct trials in Illinois.Manage and assist with all aspects of civil litigation from case inception through resolution.Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful analysis of complex legal issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.Work closely with partners on complex and challenging litigation matters.Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other professionals.Provide clients with practical, timely, and effective legal advice and reporting.Utilize exciting new technology and tools to better represent clients.
What We're Looking For4–7 years of experience in civil litigation and trial work.Active Illinois law license required.Missouri or Indiana law license is a plus but not required.Excellent court room and trial skills preferredCandidates who are comfortable and excited to use new technology tools in daily practiceSubstantial legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. xzbcwsv Strong work ethic and sound judgment.
