Role Description The Surgery Doctor role at Medifit Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Kendujhar. The surgery doctor will perform pre-operative evaluations, conduct surgical procedures, and manage post-operative care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves counseling patients and families on surgical options, risks, and recovery, adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards, and participating in continuous quality improvement and clinical audits. The surgery doctor is expected to collaborate with nursing staff and other specialists to support efficient operating room workflows and high-quality patient outcomes. Qualifications Relevant medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in surgery (MS or equivalent), and valid medical licensure/registration as required by local regulations. Demonstrated clinical expertise in performing common surgical procedures, managing surgical emergencies, and providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care. Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, including the ability to interpret imaging and laboratory results and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in high-pressure clinical settings. Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, infection control standards, and adherence to hospital policies and clinical guidelines. Ability to work on-site in Kendujhar, manage full-time schedules including potential on-call duties, and adapt to the needs of a busy surgical department.
