SHR Talent is partnering with a manufacturing client near Dickson, TN in its search for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller. As an integral part of the finance team, the Assistant Controller will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth and will be responsible for preparing financial reporting and analysis, cost control and profitability analysis and budgeting and forecasting, assisting with ad-hoc projects, providing general ledger and cashflow management as well as audit support, and maintaining internal controls.A successful candidate for the Assistant Controller role will have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Prepare timely and accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsConduct in-depth financial analysis, providing insights to support decision-making processesOversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper recording of transactions, account reconciliations, and adherence to accounting principlesMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial recordsCollaborate with the Controller and other stakeholders to develop annual budgets and forecastsMonitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis reportsAssist in cost management initiativesImplement and maintain effective internal controlsReview processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancementsSupport the annual external audit processCollaborate with auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit processMonitor cash flow activities, including cash collections, disbursements, and cash forecastingIdentify cash flow trends and potential risks, proposing appropriate strategies to optimize cash utilizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data and provide financial insights for decision-making purposesAssist with special projects as assigned by managementQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, preferredProven experience as an Assistant Controller or in a similar role within the manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standardsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applicationsProficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniquesJoin our manufacturing client's finance team and contribute to their continued success as the Assistant Controller. xzbcwsv Apply now to be considered for this exciting opportunity!
