We are looking for a hands-on Factory / Workshop Head to manage production for our pizza oven manufacturing workshop in Chandigarh.

This is not a desk-only factory management role and not an assembly-line plant role. We are a small, hands-on manufacturing business making specialized pizza ovens using mild steel, stainless steel, bricks, tiles, insulation, and finishing materials.

The right person must understand real workshop work, be comfortable managing workers on the floor, and be willing to learn our specific oven-building process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily workshop production and assign work to fabricators/helpers

• Supervise mild steel and stainless steel fabrication work

• Ensure correct measuring, cutting, grinding, welding, fitting, finishing, and painting

• Oversee basic masonry-related work including bricks, tiles, and finishing

• Check production quality at each stage before work moves forward

• Coordinate local purchasing and vendors for steel, tiles, bricks, tools, consumables, and other materials

• Source, negotiate, and recommend vendors

• Make urgent purchases up to approved limits; get ownership approval for major purchases

• Maintain simple daily production and purchase records in Excel

• Send daily updates to ownership through Whats App, photos, videos, Google Meet/Zoom calls

• Train, correct, and supervise workshop staff

• Recommend hiring or replacement of workers when required

• Maintain workshop discipline, tool care, cleanliness, and basic safety standards

• Support hands-on work when required

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication / workshop production

• 2+ years of experience supervising workers or leading a small workshop/team

• Strong experience with mild steel and stainless steel fabrication

• Comfortable with hand tools and power tools: measuring, cutting, grinders, welding, fitting, finishing, painting

• Experience with bricks, tiles, masonry, or construction finishing is preferred

• Must be comfortable using Excel

• Must be comfortable with Whats App, Google Meet/Zoom, photos, videos, and remote reporting

• Must be able to communicate in English with ownership

• Must be able to communicate with staff in Hindi

• Punjabi is a strong plus

• Must be coachable and willing to learn our specific oven manufacturing process

• Must be willing to work paid overtime during busy season, especially September–December

• Must be willing to sign confidentiality/NDA agreements, including reasonable restrictions on using company designs, supplier details, and manufacturing know-how outside the company

• Is not willing to report daily through calls, photos, and videos

• Is rigid or unwilling to learn a new manufacturing process

• Is looking for a strict 9–5 role
