Jamie Hafke DDS is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join an established, state of the art, dental team in Walled Lake, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for a chairside dental assistant, clinical dental assistant, or registered dental assistant who wants to grow their skills while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care. You will play a valued role in a welcoming practice where personalized treatment, teamwork, and exceptional patient experiences come first.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide attentive chairside assisting for general, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical dental procedures while anticipating the needs of the dentist and patient.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment to support efficient appointments and a smooth daily schedule.
- Capture digital dental x-rays in accordance with certification requirements, safety standards, and office protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient charting, clinical documentation, and treatment information while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Support procedures including digital scanning for crowns, dentures, implants, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other patient care needs.
- Follow sterilization and infection control procedures carefully to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate warmly with patients, helping explain next steps and creating a reassuring experience from check-in through treatment. Hours: Monday/9:45-8:30, Tuesday/9:45-6:30, Wednesday 7:45-6:30, Thursday 7:45-6:30, Saturdays 2X month (September-May) 7:45/1:30.
What You’ll Bring:
- You can confidently capture high-quality digital diagnostic images while following applicable safety procedures.
- You have hands-on chairside assisting experience and understand how to keep clinical appointments prepared, efficient, and patient focused.
- You demonstrate strong knowledge of dental terminology, patient charting, sterilization, and infection control practices.
- You bring a dependable, team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in patient care.
- You can manage details accurately in a fast-paced dental office while maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming presence.
Preferred Experience:
Dental Assistant credentials, expanded functions experience, digital scanning experience and knowledge of Cerec crown fabrication are welcomed. Experience with Eaglesoft, treatment planning support, and assisting experience with implants, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery play an essential role for this position.
Compensation and Benefits:
- This full-time Dental Assistant opportunity offers an annual salary of $38,790 to $48,710, based on qualifications and experience.
- Eligible team members receive health insurance, holiday pay, and paid time off.
