Hays Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and innovative manufacturing business to recruit an R&D Engineer.

Due to continued growth and investment in new product development, this market-leading organisation is seeking an ambitious engineer to join its research and development role offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced engineers and ambitious engineering graduates looking to establish their career within a fast-paced product development environment.
Your New Role As an R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing and continuous improvement of innovative construction and manufacturing products.
Working closely with engineering, production and commercial teams, you will help bring new ideas from concept through to commercial launch.
Key responsibilities will include: Supporting new product design and development projects Creating and updating CAD models, drawings and technical documentation Developing prototypes and assisting with product testing and validation Conducting product performance analysis and reporting findings Investigating opportunities for product improvement and innovation Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are efficient and practical Supporting certification, compliance and quality requirements Liaising with suppliers and external testing bodies where required What You'll Need to Succeed We welcome applications from both experienced engineers and graduates who demonstrate a genuine passion for engineering and innovation.
You should have: Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities A proactive approach and willingness to learn For experienced applicants, previous involvement in product development, R&D or design engineering within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
