Assembly Associate IEntry Level • Manufacturing / ProductionPosition SummaryThe Assembly Associate I is responsible for assembling products or components in accordance with production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This is an entry-level, hands-on role well-suited to individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to build a career in manufacturing. A minimum of 3–6 months of related experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. This position is a temporary-to-permanent assignment, with the opportunity to transition to regular, full-time employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & ProductionAssemble parts, components, or finished goods according to work instructions, blueprints, and production schedulesPerform repetitive assembly tasks accurately and at the required production paceUse hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments as requiredRead and follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assembly drawingsComplete production within established cycle times and meet daily output targetsQuality & InspectionInspect work at each stage of assembly to ensure compliance with quality specificationsIdentify and report defective parts, materials, or workmanship to the supervisor or quality teamComplete required documentation, production logs, and quality checklists accuratelyParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and corrective action processes as directedSafety & HousekeepingFollow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements at all timesMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation throughout the shiftParticipate in safety training, 5S programs, and continuous improvement activitiesReport unsafe conditions, near-misses, or workplace incidents to the supervisor immediatelyTeam & CommunicationWork collaboratively with team members to achieve shared production goalsCommunicate production updates, quality concerns, and material needs to the supervisorAttend daily team meetings and shift start-up briefingsSupport cross-training in adjacent work areas as production needs requireQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalentAbility to read and follow written work instructions and basic assembly drawingsBasic math skills (counting, measuring, and simple calculations)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipReliable attendance and ability to work a full-time schedule, including overtime as neededAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamPreferred (Not Required)3–6 months of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environmentFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, or measuring instrumentsExperience working in a lean manufacturing or 5S environmentPhysical RequirementsThis position requires sustained physical activity throughout each shift.
