Job Description

Mountain Plains, LLC is seeking a driven team member to provide land surveying services to our valued customers. This role integrates technical skills with a combination of office and field time.   • Performing construction staking as well as boundary, as-built and topographic surveying
  • Routing pipelines, roadways, electrical lines and other utilities
  • Selecting and field fitting well pads and construction staging pads
  • Research and identify property ownership, corner records and existing surface rights-of-ways
  • Utilize Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Lazer Level
  • Preparing and managing data files within Trimble Business Center
  • Foster client communication within oil & gas, transportation, utility and private sectors
  • Envision, anticipate, resolve and communicate customers' challenges
  • Operate a company-provided vehicle with trailer & UTV
  • Follow proper processes and procedures to ensure safe work habits
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years-field survey using GPS or Total Station
  • A surveying license is not required
  • Proficient computer and technical skills
  • Keen analytical & critical thinking skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail focused, problem solving perspective with ability to adapt to changing customer priorities
  • Ability to work in a professional office setting as well as outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  • Physical fitness required to travers 2-5 miles in one day on foot across adverse terrain
  • Must pass pre-hire, post-accident and random drug/alcohol screening & hold valid driver's license
