A highly regarded alternative investment firm is looking to add a Trading Operations Associate / Trading Assistant to its growing team in New York.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Middle Office / Investment Operations professional looking to move into a more sophisticated, high-touch environment where they will work closely with the investment team and have meaningful exposure to the full trade lifecycle.

The OpportunitySupport day-to-day middle office and trading operations across a range of public market investmentsManage trade processing, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and exception resolutionWork closely with internal investment professionals, counterparties, prime brokers and other external partnersSupport separately managed accounts and complex trade flowsHelp monitor and resolve operational issues from trade execution through settlementPartner across Operations, Trading and Investment teams to ensure the portfolio operates efficientlyTake ownership of projects and process improvements as the platform continues to grow
What They're Looking For3–7 years of experience in Middle Office, Investment Operations or Trade OperationsBackground within a hedge fund, asset manager or investment bankStrong understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement processExperience working with equities, derivatives and/or optionsExposure to SMAs or multiple investment vehicles is a plusDetail-oriented, analytical and extremely organizedFast-moving, proactive and solutions-orientedComfortable working in a lean environment where individuals have significant responsibilityStrong academic background and demonstrated career progression
