Job Description

The Vertical Security Head will lead and govern the end-to-end security function across all Adani Defence & Aerospace businesses, manufacturing facilities, R&D centres, testing ranges, warehouses, corporate offices, and project locations across India. The role is responsible for establishing a unified security framework covering physical security, industrial security, personnel security, investigations, crisis management, intelligence gathering, business continuity, and regulatory compliance to safeguard the organization's people, assets, information, and operations. The incumbent will act as the apex security authority for the Defence & Aerospace vertical and provide strategic direction to Site Security Heads and security teams across all locations. Key Responsibilities Security Operations & Governance Develop and implement enterprise-wide security policies, procedures, and standards. Establish security governance frameworks across all Defence & Aerospace locations. Review and strengthen security infrastructure, manpower deployment, and operating procedures. Conduct periodic security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews. Physical & Industrial Security Ensure effective protection of manufacturing facilities, warehouses, testing ranges, R&D centers, and corporate offices. Oversee access control systems, surveillance networks, perimeter security, and visitor management. Monitor security risks associated with critical infrastructure and sensitive assets. Ensure compliance with industrial security protocols and defence sector requirements. Risk Assessment & Intelligence Carry out threat assessments and risk mitigation planning. Develop intelligence networks for proactive identification of security threats. Monitor internal and external security risks impacting business operations. Lead investigations related to theft, fraud, misconduct, sabotage, and security breaches. Crisis Management & Emergency Response Develop crisis response plans, emergency preparedness frameworks, and business continuity measures. Lead incident response during emergencies, including natural disasters, industrial accidents, protests, and security threats. Coordinate with local administration, law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, and defence establishments. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with government regulations, industrial security requirements, and corporate security standards. Liaise with government authorities, armed forces, police departments, and regulatory agencies. Support security-related approvals, certifications, and inspections. Security Technology & Innovation Implement advanced security technologies, including AI-enabled surveillance systems, access management systems, and integrated command centers. Drive digital transformation initiatives within the security function. Monitor emerging threats and recommend technology upgrades. Team Leadership Lead and mentor site security heads and security teams across locations. Develop security training programs and awareness initiatives. Establish performance standards and service level agreements for security operations. Preferred Background Retired Colonel / Brigadier / Group Captain / Commodore / Senior IPS Officer / CAPF Officer. Experience in Defence Manufacturing, Aerospace, Homeland Security, Strategic Infrastructure, or Critical Asset Protection.
