Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant II on behalf of our client to support a busy, patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable working chairside in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring excellent patient care and efficient office flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories according to infection control standards
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Perform expanded duties permitted under DA II certification (as applicable by state regulations)
  • Prepare materials for restorations, impressions, and temporary crowns
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in patient charts
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
  • Support front office or lab tasks as needed to maintain workflow

Qualifications

  • 2+ minimum of experience
  • Active Dental Assistant II certification
  • Current radiography certification
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous clinical dental assisting experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of dental Dentrix software and digital charting preferred

Work Schedule

Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Salary: $47,160 - $57,740 Annual
