Grow Your Veterinary Career. <br /> Vernon Woods Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team in Sandy Springs, Georgia , just minutes from Atlanta. <br /> As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every pet and family that walks through our doors. If you enjoy building relationships, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for an opportunity to grow within veterinary medicine, we'd love to meet you. <br /> Position Details <ul><li> Part-Time </li><li> Approximately 25 hours per week (about 50 hours per pay period )</li><li> Opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the hospital continues to expand and business needs evolve </li> </ul> <br /> <br /> <br /> What You'll Be Doing: As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll help keep our hospital running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients and patients. <p></p> Responsibilities include: <ul><li> Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion. </li><li> Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions. </li><li> Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate medical records. </li><li> Process invoices, payments, and client estimates. </li><li> Coordinate communication between clients and the veterinary medical team. </li><li> Manage appointment reminders and follow-up communications. </li><li> Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area. </li><li> Support administrative tasks that contribute to efficient daily hospital operations. </li><li> Provide empathetic support during emotionally sensitive appointments, including emergencies and end-of-life care. </li></ul> What Were Looking For: We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others and wants to make a meaningful impact every day. <br /> Qualified candidates will have: <ul><li> Outstanding customer service and communication skills. </li><li> A positive, professional, and compassionate attitude. </li><li> Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. </li><li> Confidence using computers and learning new software systems. </li><li> Excellent attention to detail and follow-through. </li><li> A genuine passion for animals and client care. </li><li> Reliability, flexibility, and a collaborative team-first mindset. </li></ul><ul><li> Previous experience in a veterinary hospital, medical office, animal shelter, or customer service role. </li><li> Familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus. </li><li> Bilingual (English/Spanish) is welcomed but not required. </li></ul> Physical Requirements <br /> <br /> <br /> This position requires the ability to: <ul><li> Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. </li><li> Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and reach. </li><li> Lift and carry pets and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds , with assistance when appropriate. </li><li> Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other small animals. </li><li> Work in a veterinary healthcare environment with exposure to animal dander, fur, saliva, cleaning and disinfecting products, medical equipment, loud noises, and occasional exposure to bodily fluids. </li></ul> Why Join Vernon Woods Animal Hospital <br /> We've proudly served the Sandy Springs community for more than 40 years , building lasting relationships with pets and the families who love them.
