Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery

Overview The Registered Nurse in Same Day Surgery, in addition to general nursing, is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care and to actively participating in and contributing to the management of preoperative and postoperative patient. The nursing staff is required to assess the patient and resources, plan for the scheduled surgery and post discharge care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient's and family's understanding of the information and their ability to provide for self-care at home.
