EC&I Project Engineer

b Overview /b p As an EC I Project Engineer, you will develop Construction Work Packs (CWPs) for EC I packages, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards. Based at Warrington, you will support constructability reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on a national infrastructure project for a key Bilfinger UK client. Your role drives efficient tendering, subcontractor management, and smooth handover with robust documentation. You will lead weekly subcontractor meetings, mitigate risks, and keep stakeholders aligned on scope and timelines. This is a hand-on role for delivering safe, on-time EC I execution in a multidisciplinary environment. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Develop EC I CWPs for various design packages meeting technical, safety, and regulatory requirements /li li Ensure CWPs include drawings, specifications, procedures, ITPs, RAMs for delivery /li li Manage subcontracts within budget and schedule, escalate early for concerns /li li Collaborate with project/construction managers and engineers to plan installation/commissioning /li li Coordinate with subcontractors to secure timely resources for CWP execution /li li Identify and address risks and issues to prevent delays and safety concerns /li li Communicate with departments to align timelines, scope, and deliverables /li li Keep the EC I Engineering lead informed of progress and issues /li li Chair weekly meetings with subcontractors to drive construction /li li Attend meetings with clients and representatives as required /li li Ensure high-quality handover documentation and accurate records /li li Make independent decisions and provide expert technical support within the delivery team /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Minimum 5 years in EC I engineering, with at least 2 in hazardous industries (petrochemical, oil gas, nuclear) /li li MSc/Degree/ HND/C in discipline or related field /li li CEng or IEng (Chartered/Incorporated) preferred /li li Good communication and interpersonal skills /li li Proficient IT skills – MS Office /li li Self-motivated to meet client deadlines /li /ul ul li clear communication /li li team collaboration /li li self-motivation /li li EC I engineering /li li Construction Work Packs (CWPs) /li li ITP and RAM development /li /ul
