Our client is a private equity-backed energy and digital infrastructure platform that develops, builds and operates large-scale assets across the U.S. With over 2,600 MW of generation and storage in operation or under construction, they’re actively developing 15+ GW of grid-connected data centers supported by gigawatt-scale energy campuses combining solar, storage and natural gas.
The roleYou’ll lead development of renewable energy and data center projects across Arizona and the desert Southwest, from early-stage site identification through financing and handoff to construction. Projects range from utility-scale generation to 100-300 MW+ data center loads. This is an individual contributor role leading cross-functional teams, sitting right at the intersection of power and AI/hyperscale infrastructure.
Key responsibilitiesOwn portfolio strategy, budgets, schedules and risk managementLead site identification, land negotiations and real estate agreementsDrive permitting, entitlements and community engagement, including public meetingsEngage utilities on interconnection, transmission and power deliverySupport negotiation of PPAs, energy supply, interconnection, load, EPC and O&M agreementsPartner with M&A on due diligence and valuations for acquisitionsWork from the Phoenix office 3+ days xzbcwsv per week and travel up to 30%Requirements10+ years of renewable energy and/or large-scale data center infrastructure development experienceExperience in Arizona or the broader SouthwestA track record taking complex projects from initiation through financial close and into constructionStrong exposure to utilities, interconnection, permitting, contracting and financingAuthorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
