Purpose of the role : As a Lead Engineer for Brakes, you will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of the brake systems of a segment of our products (2 W), ensuring they meet performance, safety, and cost targets. You will work cross-functionally under the guidance of Brakes System Chief Engineer with design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the structural integrity and overall riding experience.

Job Title / Role: System Engineer - Brakes
Department: Chassis Systems D& D
Position reports to : Brakes System Chief Engineer
Location: Hosur
Education Qualification: - Btech(Full Time Only) or MTech in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
Required Experience: 12-14 years in Automotive R& D field. Experience in Chassis System Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years in Brake systems Design & development.

Internal - Design, Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales teams
External - Suppliers
Role Description
Lead the design and development of brake systems in a segment delivering New Products, addressing problems in current products and working on relevant technologies. Define technical requirements and ensure designs meet performance, durability, weight and cost targets. Co-ordinate effectively to deploy mutually agreed QCD requirements on brake systems, steer alignments and discussions within and between Co Cs, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales. Review test procedures and results (Brake performance, durability, Noise) and oversee the validation process. Participate in design reviews, update and maintain design guidelines, So Ps, DFMEA related to brake systems. Mentor the new engineers in brakes system for their career goals and objectives Lead Problem solving initiatives & Value Engineering initiatives on brake systems across product life cycles. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and drive technical decisions in quick time. Develop standardised solutions across platform minimising variety in brake systems. Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.Functional Competencies:
