About the RoleWe’re hiring a Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance to work directly with our CFO. You’ll build the models, reporting, and analysis that leadership and the board use to run the business.This is a hands-on role with ownership from pulling data and building models to presenting insights and recommendations. You’ll build systems from the ground up, gain exposure to the executive team, board, and investors, and see how a growing company is planned, measured, and funded with opportunities to grow into a broader strategic finance role as the company scales.
What You’ll DoPlanning and forecastingBuild and maintain the operating model, annual budget and rolling forecasts with the CFO.Run monthly budget-vs-actuals analysis and explain what drove the variances.Support headcount planning and spend tracking with department leaders.ARR and revenue analysisMaintain ARR reporting and the bridge from ARR to recognized revenue.Model gain-share assumptions, upside cases and scenarios for planning and board discussions.Client profitabilityBuild an automated Client P&L that shows performance by customer.Turn the results into insights on pricing, delivery cost and account health, working with Finance and client teams.Revenue analyticsBuild automated funnel reporting from MQL through Closed Won, covering pipeline, conversion and forecast.Make it the single source of truth that Sales, Marketing and leadership use. CRM administration stays with the GTM team.KPIs and measurementHelp define company KPIs, build the dashboards that track them, and flag where the numbers point to opportunities or problems.GTM strategy supportBuild TAM models by use case, run industry deep dives and pull together value-creation benchmarks.Board and fundraising supportPrepare analysis, models and slides for board meetings, investor updates and capital raises.
Must-HavesBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related quantitative field.2 to 4 years in FP&A, strategic finance, consulting, investment banking or financial advisory.Strong three-statement and operating-model skills in Excel or Google Sheets, built from scratch.Working SQL and comfort pulling and cleaning your own data.Experience building dashboards or automated reports in a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI or Hex.Clear writing and slide-building skills, with the ability to turn analysis into a crisp recommendation.A bias to action: you build the first version fast, then improve it.Comfort with ambiguity and imperfect data at a fast-growing company.
Nice-to-HavesExperience at a B2B software, AI or tech-enabled services company.Exposure to usage-based, outcome-based or gain-share revenue models.Familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot reporting and funnel metrics.Some exposure to board materials or a fundraising process.Python or another scripting language for automation.
Compensation & BenefitsThis role is based in Chicago, with hybrid schedule (3 days in office). Base salary range is $95,000 to $110,000 plus bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
