Tax Investigations Manager

A Top 15 accountancy firm is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Investigations Manager to join its growing Birmingham team.This is a technically focused opportunity for a Tax Investigations professional looking to work on a varied portfolio of complex HMRC matters, with strong exposure to both clients and HMRC.Birmingham | Hybrid£60,000-£70,000 + benefitsThe RoleYou will work across a broad range of tax investigations, taking responsibility for cases from initial enquiry through to resolution.Key areas will include:HMRC tax investigations and enquiriesCOP8 & COP9 investigationsWorldwide Disclosure Facility (WDF)Voluntary disclosures and negotiated settlementsHigh-value and technically complex investigationsDeliberate behaviour and suspected tax irregularitiesIncome Tax, CGT, Corporation Tax and PAYE mattersReviewing financial information and identifying potential tax liabilitiesPreparing technical submissions and correspondence to HMRCManaging settlement negotiations and challenging HMRC positionsSupporting and mentoring junior members of the teamAbout YouProven experience within Tax InvestigationsStrong experience dealing directly with HMRCExperience managing investigations from opening through to settlementCOP8 and COP9 experienceStrong technical knowledge of HMRC investigation processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing client relationships and/or junior team membersPrevious HMRC experience would be advantageous but is not essential.Why Join?This is an opportunity to join a growing Tax Investigations team within a Top 15 firm, offering exposure to a technically challenging caseload and genuine opportunities for progression.If you're an experienced Tax Investigations professional looking for your next move in Birmingham, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your career within an established and expanding practice. #J-18808-Ljbffr
