As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, multi-faceted projects that support business process improvements and strategic initiatives across the Faculty Practice Group and broader UCLA Health system. Reporting to the Manager of the Program & Project Management Office, youll collaborate with executive leaders, operational teams, and clinical partners to implement best practices, streamline processes, and deliver measurable results.

Youll oversee projects from initiation through completionmanaging scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverableswhile ensuring stakeholder alignment, effective communication, and smooth change management. This is a high-impact role where your leadership and analytical skills will directly contribute to advancing UCLA Healths mission of delivering world-class patient care and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex projects and programs across departments to drive operational efficiency and organizational improvement
  • Oversee all phases of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of key outcomes
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, risk assessments, and performance metrics
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication across diverse teams, ensuring transparency and alignment
  • Apply change management methodologies to support adoption and sustainability of new processes and initiatives
  • Mentor project management team members and promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence
  • Leads regular team meetings, establishing clear goals and objectives, and ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project status, changes, and strategic priorities
  • Mentors project management staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards
Salary Range: $100,170 - $218,715/Annually Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 8 years of healthcare administrative and/or project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated advanced organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated advanced communication skills. Effective verbal communication and writing skills. Advanced knowledge of all aspects of communications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques tailored to the unique circumstances of each project
  • Proven leadership ability. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines. Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; MPH, MHA, MBA or other related Masters degree
  • Experience managing IT projects
  • Experience managing healthcare projects
  • Previous employment at a health plan, especially Medicare Advantage health plan
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
