Job Location - Madurai, Tamil Nadu
Designation - Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager - Finance
Core Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Operations & Accounting:
Direct and oversee all daily accounting operations, maintaining the general ledger , subsidiary ledgers.
Manage end-to-end billing, credit note, collections, and accounts receivable (A/R) to optimize cash flow.
Supervise accounts payable (A/P), ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments and expense tracking.
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closure:
Support and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review and reconcile trial balances to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Oversee financial consolidations for multiple entities, divisions, or departments.
Prepare and publish accurate, timely financial statements (e.g., P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).
· Payroll and expense management:
o Handle monthly payroll disbursements as per set company policies
o Handle all advances and expenses disbursement and management as per company policies
Budgeting, MIS reporting
Consolidate data to assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Track actual financial performance against budgets, analyze variances, and report findings to executive leadership through monthly Management Information Statements
Establish, document, and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risk.
Audit co-ordination, consolidation and completion :
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure completion of both internal and statutory audits including, not limited to, handling audit queries, effective resolution of audit findings, preparing management representation letters and management response to audit findings.
· Tax Compliance:
Compliance with both direct and indirect tax filings , work with tax advisors to ensure timely reporting and compliance with all relevant tax laws
Preferred qualifications and experience
1. , ACA
2. 8-10 years – preferably in accounting functions of large companies and not just consulting or audit experience, preferable experience in ZOHO books
3. Good communication skills , especially wrt to management presentation, auditor interactions
