Description:

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ a Head and Neck & Cutaneous Medical Oncologist to join the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a nationally recognized multidisciplinary cancer program dedicated to advancing innovative, patient-centered care for individuals with head and neck malignancies and skin cancers through clinical excellence, research, and collaboration.

Full-Time Opportunity (Job ID: FY27-MIA-CC-01)

Candidates will diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of head and neck cancers and cutaneous malignancies, including melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, while developing individualized treatment plans informed by the latest evidence-based guidelines

Opportunity is open to both early-career physicians completing fellowship training and experienced medical oncologists seeking to join a collaborative academic environment

Candidates interested in physician leadership may be considered for a Sub-Chief role, with dedicated protected time for program development, academic initiatives, research, and leadership responsibilities in addition to clinical practice

Clinical leadership opportunities include collaboration with multidisciplinary disease site teams to advance quality initiatives, clinical innovation, physician recruitment, and strategic growth of the program

Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate closely with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, dermatology, plastic surgery, and supportive care specialists to deliver comprehensive cancer care

Supported by a multidisciplinary team of fellow physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, clinical researchers, and administrative professionals

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing

Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)

Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program is required
