Location/Schedule: Newark, NJ. Three days per week in the office.Base Salary: $240K–$280K, plus a productivity bonus and discretionary performance bonus.Practice: Management-side employment. Approximately 50% counseling and 50% litigation.Our client is a leading New Jersey commercial law firm with a Chambers-ranked Employment and Labor practice. The role combines day-to-day counseling for sophisticated employers with substantive employment litigation. This is not a pure litigation seat. The successful attorney will have meaningful client contact and a clear route toward partnership.

What You’ll Actually Do:Advise employers on HR matters, discipline, terminations, workplace policies, accommodations, leave and compliance.Counsel clients on wage-and-hour issues and employee classification.Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements.Defend employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful-termination matters.Handle administrative proceedings, workplace investigations and trade-secret disputes.
