The opportunity
Dartry Search is supporting a fast-growing proprietary quantitative trading firm with the appointment of an HR Manager in New York.
The business has experienced strong growth and is continuing to expand across North America, APAC and EMEA. This is an exciting time to join, with the opportunity to help shape how HR supports an increasingly international organisation.
The role combines close partnership with managers and employees, broad generalist responsibilities and the opportunity to improve how HR operates as the business grows. It would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships and balancing thoughtful advice with practical delivery.
What you’ll doAdvise managers on employee relations, performance and development, bringing clear judgement to sensitive people matters.Support HR activity across the employee lifecycle, working with colleagues on onboarding, performance reviews, compensation processes and departures.Help managers navigate growth and organisational change, supporting effective teams and a consistent employee experience.Review policies, processes and HR data to identify improvements and ensure working practices keep pace with the business.Collaborate with international HR colleagues on projects and initiatives, balancing local needs with a coordinated global approach.
What you’ll bringBroad generalist HR experience, with a track record of partnering closely with managers in a demanding, fast-moving environment.Experience within financial services, trading, investment management or a similarly analytical or technology-led business.A sound understanding of US employment practices, with confidence handling employee relations and advising on complex situations.Strong communication skills, discretion and the ability to build credibility with colleagues at different levels.A practical, organised approach, with the confidence to take ownership and improve processes as priorities evolve. Experience supporting an international or growing business would be valuable.
