HV Cable Jointer - Private Networks (Nationwide travel)£55,000 - £60,000 BasicVehicle, Fuel card & tools providedOvertime and Bonuses available.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced HVLV Cable Jointer to join our team working across private electrical networks, including sites within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Her Majesty's Prison (HMP) estates. This role covers projects across England, and candidates should be prepared to travel to various sites nationwide, with occasional overnight stays away from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled jointer to work on a variety of projects, delivering high-quality cable jointing and electrical works up to 11kV within secure, sensitive environments.Please note: Due to the nature of the sites involved, this role requires SC (Security Check) Clearance, or the willingness and eligibility to undertake SC Clearance vetting.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out jointing and termination of HV (11kV) and LV cables on private network installations, including MOD and HMP sitesUndertake fault finding, cable repairs, and reinstatement workInstall and maintain underground and overhead cable systemsCarry out general electrical works associated with private network projects, including installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systemsWork safely and in accordance with relevant health & safety regulations, including safe systems of work and permits to workAdhere to site-specific security protocols and clearance requirements when working within MOD and HMP environmentsTravel to sites across England as required, with occasional overnight stays away from homeComplete accurate documentation, test certificates, and job reportsLiaise professionally with site teams, clients, security personnel, and other contractorsEnsure all work is completed to industry standards and company quality requirementsRequirementsProven experience as a Cable Jointer working with HV (up to 11kV) and LV cablesRelevant jointing qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Power Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent)Experience or qualifications in general electrical installation and maintenance workValid Authorised Person / Competent Person status (or working towards)Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, SC ClearanceFull UK driving licenceStrong understanding of safe working practices, including safety rules for private networksAbility to work independently and as part of a team, particularly within secure and controlled environmentsWillingness to travel throughout England and stay away from home when required by the projectDesirablePrior experience working on MOD, HMP, or other government/secure sitesExisting SC ClearanceCSCS/ECS card18th Edition Wiring RegulationsFirst Aid at Work certificationSMSTS/SSSTS (advantageous but not essential)What's on Offer£55,000 - £60,000 Basic Salary£100 per night bonus for every night spent away from home on company businessCompany vehicle and tools providedOngoing training and development opportunities, including support with security clearance vettingOvertime and bonus opportunitiesPension schemeINDLW #J-18808-Ljbffr
