WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision and Values of MCR.
- Prepare Cage, Kiosk, and Credit Operating and Capital Budgets
- Enforce policies and procedures, internal controls, NIGC, and Compact violations related to operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and Instructions.
- Meet and communicate with auditors both for the State and Tribal Gaming Agencies for all activities that involve Cage operations.
- Build and Maintain the Casino system as related to Cage, Kiosk and Credit.
- Develop, Design and Maintain Casino Credit program and Operations.
- Knowledge of Fair Credit and Collection processes for casino receivables, required.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Title 31 regulations and assures that the Cage is in compliance.
- Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and team member satisfaction.
- As the Director, Cage and Credit you shall ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.
- Oversee and coordinate scheduling, leave requests, staffing and team meetings.
- Schedule all Cage interviews, participate in the interviews and creates new hire packets for all new team members.
- Prepare annual management evaluations for Cage Shift Managers.
- Provide direction and timely counseling of all team members as needed.
- Institute a program of ongoing training and development for all team members.
- Update Training and Development phases as needed for all applicable positions.
- Identify and develops team members to become future Supervisors and Shift Managers of the Cage.
- Institute programs that optimize guest service.
- Review and recommend business relationships with outside vendors for cash management services.
- Investigates and take corrective action on discrepancies discovered in the operation of the Cage.
- Responsible for optimizing the levels of cash used within MIC and arranges to send excess cash to the Casino’s bank via armored carrier.
- Oversee the maintenance of the currency, coin, chips, kiosk and all related Cage forms and documents.
- Provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure the company’s competitive position.
- Oversee and approve payroll.
- Attend training and classes as assigned, directed or mandatory.
- Attend and participate in monthly finance meetings.
- Communicates with all current vendors as well as possible future vendors.
- Coordinate the scheduling of all Cage projects and upgrades.
- Maintain an open line of Communication with all Department within MIC.
- Create all Cage purchase orders.
- Create, facilitate, and maintains a positive work environment.
- Smile and engage Guests and Team members with a positive professional demeanor.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, or directed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree in accounting, business management or equivalent experience required. Extensive Cage Management experience (+5 years) may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Eight or more years’ casino cage progressive experience required.
- Cage Management, Asst. Management experience required.
- Casino Credit Management, including approval authority experience required.

- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in developing departmental budgets, procedures, and team member policies.
- Demonstrate strong ability to communicate in a highly effective manner. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Demonstrate proven knowledge and complete understanding of all Cage operation regulations and internal controls, and proven skill using current updated Cage systems, processes, and software (i.e., CCT).
- Demonstrate advanced skills using MS Office Suite applications.
- Demonstrate advanced mathematical skills and acumen.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedules to accommodate all team members.
