Flagging Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Flagging Supervisor to oversee traffic control operations across North Carolina. This direct-hire leadership role is responsible for leading flagging crews, ensuring compliance with OSHA, MUTCD, and NCDOT standards, conducting field inspections, coordinating staffing, and promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate has traffic control supervision experience, current North Carolina work zone certifications, and the ability to manage multiple crews across various project locations.Extensive travel throughout North Carolina and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs are required.Job Type: Full-Time | Direct HireSalary: $62,000 - $72,000 annually

Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate flagging crews at multiple job sites throughout North Carolina.Ensure all traffic control operations comply with company policies, OSHA requirements, MUTCD standards, and NCDOT regulations.Conduct field inspections to verify proper work zone setup and safe work practices.Coach, mentor, and develop flagging personnel while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.Coordinate daily staffing assignments and respond to changing operational needs.Perform site visits and provide direction to crews on traffic control implementation.Maintain required documentation, certifications, and daily reports.Communicate with project managers, customers, and field personnel regarding work progress and operational needs.Investigate and address safety concerns, incidents, and performance issues promptly.Minimum 2 years of flagging experienceCurrent Flagger CertificationNC Basic Work Zone Installer CertificationNC Work Zone Supervisor CertificationOSHA 10 CertificationValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background checkStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to travel throughout North CarolinaFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, and emergency call-outsValid Driver's license with a clean driving record

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $29.81 - $34.62 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
