We now have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our small, dedicated and highly skilled team at our Newry Mill.
Maintenance Fitter Job Ref No: FVF/MF/10/26 The Role: The successful candidate will be involved in providing preventative maintenance and process improvements of automated machinery to maximise production efficiency, assist with ongoing upgrades of the plant and maintaining mill hygiene standards.
The Person: At least two years previous experience gained post qualification and must be a time served fitter; An engineering or mechanical qualification or equivalent; The ability to undertake complex mechanical tasks including welding and fabrication; Knowledge and working experience of pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, conveyors; Good awareness of health & safety in a maintenance environment.
Candidates should be self-motivated with excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.
The hours of work are an 8-hour rotating shift pattern which rotates weekly between days and evening shift.
Saturday morning overtime is available.
