Senior Systems & Security Administrator | $150,000 to $185,000 | New York, NY | HybridOur client is a leading professional services organization seeking a Senior Systems & Security Administrator to take ownership of a broad infrastructure and security environment.This is a hands-on role for an experienced systems or infrastructure professional with strong Microsoft, networking and security experience. The successful candidate will act as a senior technical escalation point while helping strengthen the organization's infrastructure, security controls and operational processes.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:Administering Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune and DefenderManaging identity, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO and endpoint securitySupporting enterprise networking, including firewalls, VLANs, wireless and VPNsResponding to security incidents and supporting vulnerability and patch managementManaging backup, recovery and disaster recovery processesSupporting security audits and compliance initiativesDeveloping automation using PowerShell and Microsoft GraphTroubleshooting complex infrastructure and security issuesMaintaining technical documentation, configuration standards and operational proceduresWorking with technology leadership and vendors to improve security, resilience and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
Our client is looking for a candidate with:7+ years of systems, infrastructure or related technology experienceStrong hands-on Microsoft experience across Entra ID, M365 and IntunePractical networking and firewall experienceExperience with endpoint security, vulnerability management and incident responsePowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph automation experienceExperience working within a formal security or compliance environment such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 or NISTStrong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skillsA hands-on, proactive approach and willingness to work across both infrastructure and security
