Job Description

Veterinarian – High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic

Tally Spay | Tallahassee, Florida | Full-Time or Part-Time

Make a lasting difference in animal welfare—one surgery at a time.

Are you a skilled, compassionate veterinarian who loves surgery and wants to make a meaningful impact without sacrificing work-life balance? Join Tally Spay, where high-quality veterinary medicine, community impact, and a supportive team come together.

Tally Spay is seeking an experienced, confident, and caring veterinarian to join our medical team. Whether you're looking for a full-time position or just one or two days a week, this is an opportunity to use your skills where they matter most: improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them.

Why Join Tally Spay?

Meaningful work. A great team. A better work-life balance.

Tally Spay is a high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter clinic built around the gold-standard model developed by the ASPCA® Spay/Neuter Alliance. Our mission is to help reduce pet overpopulation, shelter intake, and euthanasia by making essential veterinary services accessible to underserved communities.

Founded in 2021 by the Animal Shelter Foundation (ASF), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals in need, Tally Spay serves pet owners, animal shelters, rescue organizations, and community cat caregivers throughout the region.

In addition to spay/neuter services, we offer low-cost wellness clinics one to two times per month, providing preventive care to animals who might otherwise go without it.

At Tally Spay, you can focus on practicing good medicine, supporting a dedicated team, and making a tangible difference in your community.

  • A modern, well-equipped facility: Practice in a spacious, organized clinic with quality surgical equipment, instruments, and dedicated veterinary office space.
  • A focused approach to care: Spend more time delivering veterinary services and less time on routine client interactions.

The Role: Your Responsibilities

As our veterinarian, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate veterinary care while helping lead and support our medical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the safe handling, storage, and use of controlled substances
  • Helping maintain consistent surgical protocols, patient safety practices, and quality of care

Our streamlined service model allows you to concentrate on surgery, preventive medicine, and team leadership, with limited routine client interaction.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • A compassionate, practical approach to serving animals and people from diverse backgrounds

Previous high-volume spay/neuter experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right veterinarian in our protocols and approach.
