Qualification

• Masters or M.Phil. degree in English Literature/Linguistics from a reputable university recognized by HEC

Experience

• Prior teaching experience at the university level will be preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality instructional content
• Has a deep understanding of the Literature and Linguistics courses taught at the undergraduate level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms
• Ability to foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment
• A commitment to student success and academic excellence
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive departmental culture

Job Description

• Develop and update course materials, syllabuses, and assessments
• Facilitate classroom discussions and provide individual feedback to students
• Utilise diverse teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning in different faculties of ZU
• Conduct lectures and seminars on various topics related to the English language, with a primary focus on English literature
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career matters
• Guide research projects, internships, and career opportunities
• Contribute to the development and revision of academic programs and courses
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees focused on curriculum and program enhancement
• Conduct research in English literature and Linguistics and collaborate with colleagues on various projects
• Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences
• Stay current with developments in the field of English and pedagogical practices
• Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and activities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
