Job Description

  • Observe all safety rules and wear all PPE as required.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Properly use a micrometer, welder, cutters, and a caliper.
  • Check work orders, and properly select processed material checking for
weight, alloy, size, and quality.
  • Properly fill out all documentation, work orders, tags, timesheets, etc.
  • Transport and load processed coils for annealing using a forklift.
  • Start up and shut down the furnace, set up and operate the control panels &
edge guide system.
  • Observe diagnosis and repair of minor problems.
  • Must be able to run equipment without direct supervision.
  • Using of spot welder for gauge and type adjustments.
  • Properly select the temperature and atmosphere required for annealing, size,
case and speed. * Select cores that will ensure uniformity of stack, weight, and customer requirements.
  • Observe visual inspection of the strip for proper quality.
  • Weld and grind butt welds.
  • Check concentration, temperature, voltage, and overall operation of
equipment.
  • Transport coils for further processing using the forklift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass the company mechanical test.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Sufficient ability to maintain records and reports.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
  • Working knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective
gear).
