Job Description
Salary: $45,760 - 45,760 per year Requirements:
- We seek a candidate with a broad knowledge of information technology and the ability to work with a varied client base.
- A vehicle is required for travel between schools, and candidates must be able to pass an FBI/BCI background check.
- Preferred: a technology certification, associates or bachelors degree in computer science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Windows 10, macOS, and Chromebook operating systems.

- The role involves extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Candidates should be able to commute to Chicago, Illinois; relocation to the area before starting is preferred.
- Take ownership of the sites ticketing system and resolve technical support issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly with faculty, administrators, and technicians to address day-to-day technology issues in an educational setting.
- Diagnose, repair, and deploy PCs, printers, projectors, Chromebooks, iPads, and other classroom technologies.
- Support the maintenance and operation of enterprise client/server relationships and hosted systems used by school departments.
- Assist the Network Engineer with special projects as needed.
- Help create user accounts and organizational units and reset passwords in Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 Management Console, and Google Admin Console.
- Log work in the ticketing system, review the work queue for efficiency, and create documentation for common issues to develop a knowledge base.
- Provide professional development training to faculty and administrators when appropriate, including guidance on classroom technology.
- Help manage vendor relationships, order warranty replacement parts, and coordinate and assess new equipment purchases.
