About Waypoint Bio:Waypoint Bio is a venture-backed biotech startup building the next generation of cell therapies for solid tumors. Joining our team as a research intern means working with a group of innovative and collaborative scientists who share the mission of bringing the promise of immune cell therapy to all cancer patients.
Traditional cell therapy development faces a trade-off between in vitro approaches that are fast but inaccurate, and in vivo approaches that are accurate but slow and expensive. Waypoint has built a proprietary spatial biology & machine learning platform that enables pooled cell therapy screens in vivo - profiling how hundreds of designs affect a solid tumor in a single mouse, while measuring each design's performance across distinct clinically relevant parameters. This high-throughput approach compresses years of work into a single experiment by achieving >100x the throughput of conventional animal experiments.
