Parks Mobile Ranger - Fall/Winter

Summary

10-hour shift, 8 days on/6 days off, may adjust slightly due to weather/events, 6am-4 pm . Schedule may change slightly during periods of snowfall.

L ight janitorial maintenance involving cleaning of public parks facilities, trash pickup, grounds work, mowing, leaf collection, equipment operation, raking, painting, and event/rental set-up. Primary winter duties are shoveling/snow blowing school crosswalks and downtown pedestrian areas, also assists with maintenance of outdoor ice rinks and other general labor as needed . Event and Rental preparation , monitoring, and clean-up . Must be able to interact with visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.

Work is often physically demanding requiring heavy lifting and exposure to the elements . Will be responsible for refueling of vehicles/machines (safe and proper handling of diesel, 2-stroke, unleaded, etc ).

Qualifications

- Must be 18 years of age or older. - Able to handle physically demanding work and exposure to the elements on a daily basis . - Valid driver's license with good driving record (for jobs that include driving). - Must pass a physical; drug screen and criminal background check. - May be required to pass a DOT physical if position requires operating a CMV-rated vehicle.
